Please excuse the roughness of the summaries. This is the first time I have done an episode by episode summaries page. It is now Cosmic Era 70. Following the Tragedy of "Bloody Valentine", The Tension between Earth and Plant, (Zaft headquarters), developed into a serious military engagement. Everyone thought this would be a short war. That the Earth alliance which outnumbered the Zaft forces would prevail. However the war has gone on for more than 11 months now, and shows no signs of slowing down. The Zaft forces, also known as the coordinators for there genetic alterations prior to birth, developed neutron cancellers to prevent another "Bloody Valentine" which was caused by a Nuclear attack. These weapons are no longer able to function. and so the first episode begins... Episode 1--------- The Colony Heliopolis is peaceful, we start out the first episode by
listening to the news, which is playing off of a young boys computer. His
mechanical bird Torii, is with him when his friends arrive to tell him that
Professor Kato needs a hand again. His name is Kira Yamato. His friends
are Miriallia and Tolle. As they look at the news they see
that the war has escalated on Kaoshiung. The news was a week old so the
friends estimate that Kaoshiung has already fallen to ZAFT. They are
living on a space colony that is an out branch of a nation on Earth called Orb.
Orb has decided to remain neutral during the war conflict. You then see a
glimpse of Kira's Past, when he was given Torii by his best friend, who is
heading off to PLANT to be with his parents. As the Gundam rises, the credits Play, Prepare for episode 2 Episode 2--------- After Activating the Mobile Suit Kira Begins to Remember Asuran and wonder
Why he has joined the Army. As the Control Display appears and Shows the
Following: Episode 3--------- Strike Gundam finds that he has a Beam cannon just as the Archangel is launched. Many eyes stare at the immense ship and the Opening Theme Begins. The Archangel begins to fire its missiles at the enemy Ships. Kira, unaware of the Power of the Beam cannon fires and blows a large hole in the side of the colony. Many Gasp, but all appears ok. Kira guides the Strike onto the Archangel and many are surprised a small kid was piloting the thing. Lieutenant Ramius is now declared the Capitan of the Archangel. Kira is revealed to be a coordinator. The enemy forces are known as coordinators. Those who were genetically altered at birth to be as there parents wanted in every aspect. Kira is declared however a friend of the Earth special forces. The Zaft forces prepare to react against the Colony by sending in there new Gundams. We learn of the fighting that is between Naturals and Coordinators. we now know that there is more to Earth vs.. Zaft. The Captain Ramius has decided Kira will be allowed to pilot the Gundam more to help ensure there escape from the colony. However Kira does not really want to do this. He does not like war. However he agrees in order to save his friends. Asuran leaves the Zaft Ship in order to find Kira and make him realize that he would be better a person if he would join Zaft and leave the Earth ship. We now learn the name of Asuran's Gundam as well. It is the X303 Aegis. Kira Launches the Strike unit to battle with Aegis and the three jinn units that have also entered the colony. The Shelter units are being released from the ship. Kira Destroys the jinn containing another of Asuran's Friends, Miguel. The Colony begins to become unstable and falling apart. As the Colony falls apart the ship and Kira fly into space and end credits play. Episode 4--------- Kira is devastated at the loss of his beloved Heliopolis.
The colony that up to this point was a neutral Colony in the War. However
Because the Earth had hidden its new Mobile suits on this colony it was a target
of Zaft and was therefore attacked. It was a mistake that the colony was
destroyed however. Kira is outside the rubble waiting to be retrieved by
the Archangel. As he is retrieved he retrieves an emergency escape pod and
brings it to the Archangel. They decide that it would be best to leave it
there, but Kira persuades them. They decide to go to the space
umbrella, the space colony Artemis. A space colony created by Eurussia.
They hope that the colony will allow them to re-fuel their ship. Frey
Alstar is one of the people in the space pod found by Kira. She
"fly's" to Kira in tear filled eyes. Episode 5--------- The Zaft Ship Launches the remaining Gundams Duel, Buster and Blitz. Asuran and Kira come face to face in Space for the first time. The other three Gundams are attacked by Archangel and Fraga. Kira and Asran continue to talk. As Kira is torn between Asuran's Friendship and his duty to protect his friends on the Archangel he finds that there is little that he can do. The fighting continues through most of the episode. The Zaft Warship decides to attack the Archangel while there own forces are in the way. The ship is about to fire when Fraga comes out of no ware and attacks the Zaft Ship. When the battle appears to be one sided the Archangel retreats with Kira and Fraga and hurry to the Artemis Space station. Despite the fact that Kira loses most all power and is almost captured by Asuran. Fraga was able to get strike parts needed to re-power the Strike Suit. It is here that Kira is able to re-join the Archangel. The Enemy Retreats for the time and the Archangel continues towards the Artemis Colony. As the Archangel is permitted to enter the colony the nickname Umbrella is revealed in the large force field that surrounds it. The Credits Play as the colony forces surround the ship. Episode 6--------- It appears that military procedure on this colony is to capture the crew of any incoming vessel until they are known to be friends. As the three leading Officers try to convince the colony, the others are under arrest in the dining area. They soon learn that there is one Zaft ship outside the Umbrella. Fraga does not believe that the umbrella is as perfect as it is supposed to be and that the enemy will break in. And he is right. When the Zaft ship leaves the Area, the Umbrella is lowered to save power. The Colony finds that Kira is the Pilot and takes him from the rest and decides they want to see the new Gundam. It is then that Blitz comes in with a stealth cover and penetrates the shield. The commander of the Colony tells Kira he is a traitor to all coordinators. Kira cannot believe this at the time. He does as he is told. Blitz attacks the colony before Kira gives the commander what he wants and disables the shield for the other Zaft soldiers. it is now that Archangel rebels and takes off. They leave Artemis as the enemy attacks. Kira launches the Strike Gundam and takes to Space. As Zaft Gundams destroy parts of the colony, the Archangel escapes towards the Moon colony. leaving Artemis to it's fate. As Kira returns to his bed, the ending credits play. Episode 7--------- During this episode Kruuze takes his ship to the council to discuss why there
was the destruction of the colony. While Sai helps convince Frey that she
should apologize to Kira for an outburst, Kira is checking the program of the
strike Gundam. On the Zaft side we see that Kruuze and Asuran meet with
the head person. This person is Asuran's Father. Archangel decides
they still need to get to the moon, which is on the opposite side of the planet.
They decide to go through the debris belt to gather all the supplies they need
to survive. The debris Belt is a Belt of all the trash left from battles
in space, as well as Battleships and Mobile Suits. Episode 8--------- Rakusu feels a little bashful at the beginning as we learn that she thought this was a Zaft ship. We learn that an earth ship was the cause of Rakusu's ship being attacked. Kruuze will thus be taking his fleet to investigate and find Rakusu. Haro is the small pink ball machine with Rakusu. Apparently this was given to her by Asuran. Rakusu, who is supposed to be in confinement somehow gets out and goes for a walk to the kitchen to get a meal. The Archangel decides to take Rakusu with them. We learn that Zaft means "Zodiac Alliance of Freedom..." However we never got to the "T" because of an interruption. Frey insults all coordinators and Kira has to take Rakusu back to her room. Kira tells Rakusu that he is a coordinator. While the others try to persuade Frey that all coordinators are not evil. An Earth Fleet finds the Archangel and they communicate with each other. We get another Song from Rakusu. I seems that everyone on the ship thinks that coordinators are unnatural and should not exist. AS the crew celebrates, Frey learns Her Father is on one of the ships that has come to help them. AS Rakusu Plays with Haro, the credits Play. Episode 9--------- We see that Kira is inside the Gundam again using the maintenance to make sure the Gundam is operational. All appears to be going well. Rakusu sings another song. (I really like the songs), and we see the ship at peace. and her memories of being rescued. When the ship begins to be at peace they detect that the radar is being jammed as well as other communications. The Zaft ships that have been following them is about to attack. The Earth rescue fleet launches their fleet and prepares for battle. The Earth forces begin to fight and tell the Archangel to retreat. However, The Archangel notices the Aegis is in the fight and decide to go into battle to help. Strike launches and goes into the fight as well and is getting to the point of being a really good fighter now. Frey does not want her father to die. Kira and Asuran begin to fight, while Fraga takes to the other Jinn's and attacks them. Frey goes to get Rakusu and takes her to the Bridge. She tries to cease the fighting by using Rakusu as a bargaining tool, however as she reaches the bridge she sees her Father's ship explode. The Archangel makes a desperate move. They alert the enemy that they have Rakusu, the fighting stops and the Archangel retreats. As we see Frey in her room in bed, The Credits Play. Episode 10-------- Kira is appalled that they used Rakusu that way. however there is little he can do about it. Frey is in Mental distress and wants Kira to die because of what happened to her father. She says that he is only pretending to fight and that he should have killed them all. While Kira appears to be in distress Rakusu appears again and comforts him by merely speaking to him. We note that Kruuze is on a Medication at this point. Kira reveals that he has to fight Asuran and Rakusu tells him that they are both good people. She lets Kira know she will one day marry. She says how it would be good if the two of them could end the fighting. The others realize that Kira's friend is piloting the stolen Mobile suit. Kira decides that he is going to take Rakusu to the other ship and return her to Asuran. Sai decides to help and they soon get her into a space uniform and into the Strike Gundam. It looks like she is Pregnant with the suit on, She is not however. Sai tells Kira he must return. Kira has taken the Archangel by surprise and is taking Rakusu with him out of the ship. The Zaft ship takes this as a sign of war but Kira reveals that he only wants Asuran to come out and take Rakusu from him. Zaft agrees and sends out the Aegis, however Kruuze takes his suit and prepares to launch. Kira and Asuran share a moment of friendship again and Kira sends Rakusu to Asuran. Asuran tries to have Kira come with him, but Kira refuses. He tells Asuran that he has to protect those in the Archangel. They agree that the next time they will have to fight each other. Zaft launches Mobile suits and so Fraga also launches. There is a small fight that now almost occurs. Rakusu tells them that they should not make a battlefield in from of her and that they should retreat. The Zaft ship Falls Back. As a tear flows from Kira's eye the Credits Play. Episode 11--------- Kira is put on trial for his actions on the Archangel. Because of his actions he should be executed. However, because he is a civilian pilot, he will be released without charge. Frey learns that it was Kira's friend that he had to fight out on the field, but it is hard to say if she feels bad, of more angry. The other stolen Gundam pilots appear again and pursue the Archangel. They hope to sink the ship before Asuran returns. Rakusu tells Asuran that Kira was very kind to her on the other ship and that everything will be ok. Asuran is however a little distraught as he knows he has to fight Kira again. While the others worry what will happen when they leave the ship Frey comes to Kira and apologizes to him. When once again the Radar is jammed, It's Blitz, Buster and Duel. Frey has a hate for Kira inside her though that wants him to die protecting the Archangel. Kira launches to fight the trio of Gundams. The fighting begins and we learn that the 8th Armada is on it's way to assist the Archangel. An intense battle between Duel and Strike occurs and there is much action. While Duel and Buster Fight Blitz is attacking the Archangel. Kira now activates his Seed! This means he has gone Berserker. He disables the legs on Duel and takes blitz to battle. Isaac, the Pilot of Duel gets injured by Kira and they retreat. As the 8th Armada arrives the credits play. Episode 12--------- As Asuran lets Rakusu take off back home on another ship, Kruuze tells him to shoot down the Strike, or he might be the one that gets hurt next! The Opening plays. The ship is peacefully approaching the moon base and Kira is repairing the mobile suit and the other equipment. He does not want to fight anymore, but may have to if it gets rough. The ship is under military inspection and the Zaft forces have decided they may be able to take out the fleet. We learn Earth's military Base is in Alaska and that they are not too happy about the destruction of Heliopolis. The Archangel is told it will soon head to the Alaskan Base and rejoin it's original intent. They are given a couple Sky grasper, Units that they will be able to use on Earth. As the others are given release forms from the military Frey comes out to say that she is wanting to join the Military. Kira's Friends decide they are going to stay and tear up their forms. The four stolen Gundams begin approach. Although Kira wants to leave he decides to stay and defend the Archangel. All the civilians leave in a space ship to head to earth. As the ship leaves and Kira heads to the Strike Gundam the credits Play. Episode 13--------- The Battle starts and Captain Ramius is surprised to see that the students decided to stay and help protect the Archangel. As the Battle rages Kira heads to get his suit. Frey is there and hugs Kira with great tears in her eyes. In the battle it is clear that the coordinators are far superior than all of the earth military vessels. Kira decides that the war needs to end and that he will stop it. Frey comes to him and kisses him passionately. The earth ships fall one by one to the might of the enemy Gundams. Even those retreating ships are destroyed. The Earth military decides that it is best that the Archangel survives and they are going to escape to earth. Fraga and Kira are forced to standby during the battle and will not be allowed to help in the fight. Despite her wishes Kira launches Strike and promises to return before they complete the decent process. Fraga also launches into the battle, Isaac, who Kira had wounded in a prior battle immediately launches an assault against Kira. He plans to pay Kira Back for his wound. When the time limit comes the 8th Armada has been completely destroyed. Buster and Duel are caught in the Gravitational Pull with Kira and Fraga heads to the Ship. When Isaac shoots down the Civilian ship, thinking it is a escape pod the credits Play and Kira is thrown towards the earth. Episode 14--------- The episode starts with some bonus footage of the war situation. After that the Credits start. This is season Two and a New theme begins. In this episode we see the full court hearing of Kruuze and Asran. It also shows much review from the first season of Gundam seed. Mostly this episode is told through Zaft and there are some new scenes that are cool, including a description of all the Gundams and there powers. We also learn of the struggle of the coordinators. After a while we return to scenes from the Neutron Jammer. It is one of the best scenes you will see. The Credits Play. Episode 15--------- As we resume the episodes again from the start we see the Battle that was fought and Strike falling towards Earth. This kind of descent has never been tested and we See flashes of what appears to be Kira in great turmoil and stress. He is sweating and the Battle seems only like a memory of the past. Then it becomes clear. he is on the Archangel in bed with a High Fever. As we see that the Archangel is in a desert, the opening plays. As Kira drifts through time and memory we see what happened when he was falling to earth. He was able to pull of what had never been attempted. He had taken the Gundam through part of the atmosphere. The Archangel had to go off course to retrieve him and is now in Zaft territory on Earth. As they wait for Kira to get well we see some more of the flashbacks of Asuran and realize he really doesn't want to fight Kira, But plans to shoot him down. The Zaft Gundams are now on Earth as Well, Well Duel and Buster are. When Kira finally wakes he sees Kira and Frey. He realizes that they are on earth and that He must have caused them to go off course. Frey tells Sai that she is no longer going to marry him. That it was all her fathers idea and now that he is gone there's no relationship. Frey wants Kira to Fight and die before she will ever forgive him for what happened. Kira has a pain inside of him and Frey smiles at that fact. She feels it is a good thing. Kira falls in her arms. They once again Kiss. As the Credits Play we see a young girl on the dunes of the dessert. She is the same from the lab in episode one that Kira helped escape. The Credits Play. Episode 16--------- W now see a small military force led by a mysterious man that plans to take out the Archangel. We notice they have strange mobile machines and that they are Zaft. Opening Plays. We see on the Archangel that Sai is crawling to Frey's room like she was there. But she is actually in Kira's Room in his Bed. The ship moves to stage two battle status as we learn it is laser targeted. Kira runs to the Gundam as the ship is attacked. The ground Units in this episode are called Bacow and they are designed for this kind of battle. They launch Strike and Kira launches. This will be his first fight in the dessert. Kira quickly learns that the calibrations are not properly set for the Gravity and Sand and he can hardly move. The Bacows are coming out and attacking freely and Kira cannot Move. After Kira realizes that he is slipping on the sand he learns to control it and stop. He then takes his stance attacking the first Bacow that approaches. Now that Kira knows how to move again he takes out a few of the Bacow. Then Fraga launches his Unit to assist. He is not used to this kind of battle. Kira activates his Berserker Gene and the seed once again Breaks as he takes out the Bacow and the missiles aimed at the Archangel. Now, Strike begins to lose Power. The Enemy takes the opportunity. Then there appears a resistance to the Zaft forces including the young Girl who tells Strike to follow them to a trap in order to destroy the Bacow. Kira does this and follows. A huge explosion occurs and destroys the Bacow. Kira's Armor changes to normal. The Zaft retreats. Bartfeld is the man who was leading the other Zaft forces. With this knowledge the episode ends. Episode 17--------- The Archangel decides they are going to great and meet with the Resistance and approaches. Kira notices the Girl but is still in the Gundam, outside the Ship. They ask the Resistance for help and the Resistance tells them to drop[ there weapons. The Girl Recognizes Kira at once. She Slaps Him and Kira remembers who she is. Her name is Kagari. We move to Zaft and see Isaac for the first time without his bandages. He is even more angry than before. Kira seems relaxed and Kagari apologizes for hitting him, he laughs and says it wasn't her fault. He had forced her in the escape pod after all. The Archangel is going to cross the Pacific to get to Alaska. That is there plan. Bartfeld likes Coffee, (Inside Joke). Sai and Frey meet, and Sai seems to notice she has changed. Kira seems to be addicted to this war. We overhear an argument between Frey and Sai and realize when Kira comes that Frey and Kira are together in a few ways. Kira protects Frey from Sai when he tries to grab her to talk, but during this Kira is in a struggle. He does not want to lose Frey as a Friend but Sai does not want her to be with anyone but himself. Kagari hears this and blushes. Then the alarm is risen as we see the village is being attacked by the Bacow and Burned. As we see the Red sky, the credits Play. Episode 18--------- The Zaft army attacks the village and burns it to the ground. They are not killing them, but destroying their supplies for the resistance forces. Sky Grasper, Fraga's Unit now launches from the Archangel in order to assist the fighting between the Bacows and the Resistance, however Kira does not launch and remains on standby. The resistance is enraged and runs after the Bacow force to destroy them, however with their weapons, they will not last long. Captain Ramius decides to launch Kira to fight with them. The resistance is not fairing well and most are killed. Then Strike arrives. A friend of Kagari, named Afhmed dies and Kagari weeps over him. The Tiger of the Dessert, Bartfeld gets in the third Unit and shows Kira that he is also an exceptionally good pilot. Kira is struggling to regain control and fight the three units. Kira then goes Berserker and Destroys the Units patterns. Then takes out one unit. Leaving only Bartfeld. and a damaged unit. They both retreat. Kira exits the Gundam to approach Kagari. He tells them they were wrong to have fought and Kagari tells Him why they really were fighting going insane. This time Kira is the one to slap Kagari, and with tears in her eyes the Credits Play. Episode 19--------- We start the episode with Kagari and Kira in a city to buy food and supplies for the resistance. Kira is to be Kagari's Bodyguard. We see Bartfeld sitting at a table and he overhears what Kagari and Kira talk about... Him! The Opening Plays! The Captain and Fraga talk about Kira and Frey and how this is not to be a good thing. The tiger of the desert has an argument with Kagari over what sauce to put on the food Kira is eating and both end up going on it. A group of men attack to kill coordinators. It is called Blue Cosmos and Kira does not Kill, but cripples. Now we learn that this is Bartfeld. He says Hi and offers to take them to his mansion in order to clean up. While Kagari goes to get cleaned up, Kira talks with Bartfeld. The Archangel begins to worry and decides that trouble is afoot. Bartfeld now reveals that he knows Kira is the Pilot of the Mobile Suit. He tells Kira what he thinks about fighting and asks him where he thinks there should be the line. He now reveals to Kira that he is a Berserker. This is the first time Kira has heard this and he learns how he is really a special coordinator. On the Archangel Sai tries to pilot the Strike Gundam and almost destroys the part of the ship in which they are in. Bartfeld lets Kira and Kagari go in hopes to fight Kira on the Battlefield. The credits play. Episode 20--------- We open and see Asuran going to see Rakusu. He has some flowers and intends to spend some time with her. The Haro, which he built flock around him. Rakusu and Asuran spend some time remembering the past events. Patrick Zara believes that there is no need for the naturals, that there is a new race and that race is of coordinators. He feels that they must destroy all naturals instead of co-existing with them. Kruuze appears to be on a medication and we see a scene where he is taking some pills to prevent himself from freaking out. Asuran leaves and heads off to fight again in the upcoming mission that is to be approved. The archangel agrees to assist in the attack of the enemy forces and Bartfeld. We see that Kagari has the highest score in the training module for the fighter plains that are on the Archangel. Frey tells Kira how she thinks that Sai could never beat him and realizes that the love they share is not real, that Sai should be with Frey. As we see Kira and Asuran on two sides fighting with thoughts of the past the credits play. From Here on I will need to re-watch the episodes to write the reviews, be patient they will come someday Episode 21--------- In this episode we focus mainly on the fight between Bartfeld and the Archangel. Kira and Fraga are on the front of the line taking action against the enemy. Kira asks Fraga what a Berserker is and compares it to himself. He feels that he is a berserker. Kira shows his moves and fights Bartfeld to the end. He defeats Bartfeld and the troops retreat. As Kira realizes what he has done he cries and the credits play. Episode 22---------
