The Series Begins...
This Begins the Yu-Yu-Hakusho Ghost files; Spirit Detective As Yusuke begins his return he soon meets up with none other
than Boton again. She quickly informs him that he has all that is required
to become a detective of the spirit world. Yusuke is now a

Boton he has another case. He had plans for the weekend, now he had to go
to some lady and try to become her apprentice before some demon named Rando.
A demon who has stolen the techniques of 99 psychics and now wants this ones.
The Lady is actually the old Genkai, (above), once the winner of a Dark
Tournament she has chosen the simple remote life in the woods. She quickly
disposed of arrogant people and of those without Spirit energy. Now the
final tests were to begin. She is holding the Genkai Tournament to decide
her new student. After weeding out the weaklings there are only four
fighters left. one of which is surely Rando. The Four are Yusuke,
Kuwabara, Shorin, and Kazamaru. After Yusuke defeats Kazamaru it seems
that Shorin is the only one who could possibly be Rando in disguise.
Kuwabara fights as hard as he can, but he loses quickly. When Yusuke comes
in half beaten already he wins against the Human like Shorin. But the
fight is not over as Shorin goes into his demon form of Rando. (Below)
Rando gives Yusuke Upon his return to the city Yusuke finds that Kuwabara has learned a few techniques and that there are some Humans possessed by demons after him. After getting rid of them Boton informs him of his next mission. He must retrieve the Makai whistle from Maze castle in the demon world. This didn't seem too hard, except he was also told that there where four demons that await him on the other side. They are the Saint Beasts. Hiei and Kurama show and declare they are now friends. He also wants a rematch with Yusuke. The First Saint Beast was for Kurama to fight. His name was Genbu. Kurama fought hard and one with little difficulty. He only had a small wound on the side. Next Kuwabara fought the Demon Byakko. After a long fight and two arenas, The demon seemed to be defeated when he fell into the Lava. The team moves quickly up to the next room where Seiryu is waiting for them. Byakko arrives behind them and asks Seiryu to help him, Instead Seiryu destroys him. Hiei takes on Seiryu and quickly takes out the demon foe. They then proceed to the boss Suzaku. Yusuke has to leave them behind when an army of Cultivated Humans appear. He finds Suzaku in front of a large viewing screen featuring Kayko! The Demon Suzaku has set the controlled Humans out to Kill Kayko. After a display of power, when Yusuke feels this is the last chance he has to save Kayko he taps into his life energy and destroys Suzaku. The whistle is also destroyed and Kayko is saved. Genbu, Byakko, Seiryu, Suzaku

At
the beginning of Yu-Yu-Hakusho Yusuke Urameshi is a teenage boy who is the
school punk. He does not follow the dress code, and he shows up only every
other week. the first thing we see in the series is Yusuke being hit by a
car. Well he is the hero of the story, only a bit dead. After
discovering he is a ghost he meets up with Boton, a Spirit guide that is going
to help Yusuke get his life back. He soon meets the great ruler of Spirit
World. The mighty Koenma
,
(Right), Koenma gives Yusuke an egg and tells him of his ordeal to regain his
life. Should Yusuke perform only good deeds a creature will appear and
guide him back to life, but in the opposite, if Yusuke does not behave himself a
monster will emerge and eat Yusuke's soul. When Yusuke's egg is close to
hatching a fire breaks out in his home. to save a girls life Yusuke throws
the egg into the fire and it allows her to escape. Yusuke's Body and the
girl are safe, however, his only chance to regain life has been lost... Or
is there another way? Koenma, seeing Yusuke's noble act to save Kayko, the
girl from the fire, Has decided to spare Yusuke his own death. He offers
him a last chance offer. One of those close to Yusuke will have to kiss
him during the day to come. If during that day he is kissed while glowing
gold, he will be allowed to return to his body and live again. the Dream
is spread to only three people, His mom (Atsuko), Kayko, and the only one he
wouldn't want, Kuwabara
.
Kuwabara has been one of Yusuke's rivals, although in strength Kuwabara is
really only a punching bag for Yusuke. Kuwabara feels the
dream was only a bad dream and shrugs it off. Yusuke's mom forgets that
she ever had the dream and Kayko is uneasy about it. Kayko is Yusuke's
closest (and at times, his only) friend. She and Yusuke have known each other
since they were little children, and although he would never admit it, she is
probably the person that he cares most about in the world. Kayko is the
one that at the last moment is able to bring Yusuke back. Now alive Yusuke
is ready to enjoy the life he almost left behind.
Spirit
detective... His first case, to retrieve three stolen artifacts. The three
Items are an Orb that traps children's souls, A mirror that grants any wish but
at a cost, and a sword that will turn anything it cuts into a demon slave.
The three that have stolen the artifacts are Gouki, Kurama, and Hiei.
Gouki is the first Yusuke will encounter. Gouki holds the Orb and uses it
to catch children's souls and then he eats them. In the toughest fight he
has had so far Yusuke beats Gouki by using the power he was given from Koenma.
His famous Spirit Gun. Boton takes the
Orb
and Yusuke meets Kurama. Yusuke soon learns that Kurama is the holder of
the Mirror. When Yusuke learns that the user will have the wish at the
cost of his own life and that Kurama, a human, is wishing for his mother to be
cured, Yusuke offers his own life as an exception to Kurama's. The mirror
grants the wish and
does not take a life because of Yusuke's noble act. Kurama then becomes
one of Yusuke's allies. The last is Hiei, the holder of the demon sword.
By a narrow margin Yusuke wins the fight and the three artifacts are returned. 
a run for his Spirit Gun Soon Yusuke is about to be shrunk when the spell
backfires and shrinks Rando instead of Yusuke. Yusuke quickly takes the
upper Hand and falls on Rando, winning the Match. Genkai has found her
pupil, and Rando is caught. Thinking he has found a break Yusuke realizes
that he is now in trouble. He must now train with the old Genkai for the
next couple Months.
